Indian films are a great source of foreign-language music pleasure for me. This particular track is on the 1981 soundtrack from the film ‘Desh Premee‘ (The Patriot), which I have yet to see but it looks very much like the kind of film I would love! Laxmikant Pyarelal are two people – Laxmikant Kudalkarand & Pyarelal Sharma – and together they created some of my favourite film music. Seek out their work! The singers on this are the always wonderful Asha Bhosle and Laxmikant. Enjoy!
